All important questions in one place
An initial appointment usually takes 20 to 30 minutes. Your medical history and previous findings will be discussed, a detailed ENT examination including endoscopy of the nose, sinuses, nasopharynx and larynx, as well as tympanometry. If necessary, an additional hearing test or a speech audiogram can be carried out.
Appointments can be made online via the booking system or by telephone. If there are no available appointments online and you have acute symptoms, please call directly so that we can arrange an appointment for you at short notice.
The practice is located in the outpatientn center of the Rudolfinerhaus, Billrothstraße 78, 1190 Vienna, in the Rudolfpavilion on the first floor, door 19.
You can easily reach the practice by public transport such as the S-Bahn S45 (Oberdöbling station), tram line 38 (Silbergasse station) or bus lines 10A and 39A (Silbergasse station). If you arrive by car, an underground car park with barrier-free access and e-charging stations are available.
The practice is located at Schönbrunner Strasse 9, 1040 Vienna — right on the Naschmarkt in a central location.
You can easily reach the office by public transport via the subway line U4 (Kettenbrückengasse station, northern exit, about 300 meters away) or by bus line 59A (stop towards Karlsplatz, right in front of the practice). If you arrive by car, please note that due to the current “Naschpark” construction work, parking spaces at Naschmarkt (approx. 300 meters away) are only available to a limited extent. Please also take into account Vienna's short-term parking zone regulations.

If available, please bring previous medical findings, doctor's letters and CT or MRI images, preferably both digitally on CD and in printed form. This enables a comprehensive assessment of your situation. It is also recommended to arrive a few minutes before the appointment to ensure a smooth and smooth process.
Payment is made directly on site and is possible in cash, with an ATM card or by credit card.
As a private ENT specialist (Wahlarzt), Dr. Liu has no contract with the statutory health insurance funds. This means that you first pay the fee privately. You can then submit the invoice to your health insurance provider and, depending on your policy, receive reimbursement of up to 80 % of the insurance rate. If you have private supplementary insurance covering outpatient treatment, the remaining costs are usually reimbursed as well.
Yes, patients from ÖGK, BVAEB and SVS can easily submit their fee notes via WAHonline.
First, a detailed consultation and planning are carried out. Upon request, you will receive a written cost estimate for submission to your private health insurance. Once the costs are confirmed, your hospital stay will be arranged. The procedure is performed either at the Rudolfinerhaus or another leading private hospital, followed by post-operative care directly at one of my office.
Surgeries are performed in the Rudolfinerhaus and in other leading private hospitals in Vienna. These hospitals offer state of the art equipment, the highest medical quality and comfortable single or twin rooms.
All surgeries are personally carried out by Dr. Liu. He personally guides you through every step – from your first consultation and thorough preparation to the procedure itself and attentive aftercare.
Yes, self-payers can also have surgery. In this case, we will transparently inform you in advance about the expected costs.
As a private patient, you benefit from personal care from Dr. Liu, short waiting times for surgical appointments, a first-class environment with hotel-like standards and direct billing with your private insurance which usually covers the entire costs of surgery, accommodation and medical fees.
Sleep screening is performed on an outpatient basis and can be done comfortably at home. This involves recording respiratory flow, oxygen saturation, pulse and snoring noises to diagnose possible sleep apnea.
Please do not take any allergy medication at least three days before a planned allergy assessment. If you are unsure, please contact us by email in advance.
If you are unable to make an appointment, please cancel in good time. If this is done less than 24 hours before the appointment or not at all, a default fee of 80 euros will be charged.
