Allergies

Allergies are very common and can significantly impact quality of life – causing a constantly runny or blocked nose, itching, fatigue, or sleep problems. A thorough evaluation is essential in order to provide targeted treatment.

Diagnostics

  • Allergy testing: skin prick test or, if necessary, blood testing to identify the specific triggers (e.g. pollen, dust mites, animal dander).

Counseling & therapy

  • Medications: guidance on effective allergy medicines such as antihistamines or nasal sprays.
  • Allergen avoidance: practical tips on how to reduce exposure to the main triggers in everyday life.
  • Specific immunotherapy (desensitization): a modern, causal treatment for pollen or dust mite allergies. By regularly administering small amounts of the allergen, the immune system gradually adapts – symptoms are reduced significantly in the long term.

Allergies in children

Children are also frequently affected, especially by hay fever or dust mite allergies. Typical symptoms include:

  • Persistent nasal congestion or mouth breathing
  • Frequent infections or middle ear problems due to poor ventilation
  • Cough or breathing difficulties, especially at night

Early evaluation is important, as untreated allergies can increase the risk of asthma or chronic nasal problems. With gentle testing and tailored therapy, children can become symptom-free and develop without limitations.

My approach

I provide individualized allergy diagnostics for both adults and children and discuss the most suitable treatment options – from short-term relief to long-term, causal therapy. My goal is to significantly reduce symptoms and sustainably improve quality of life.
